Compass Realty Group’s Spotlight on Bailey Blanchard

This month, we would like to shine the spotlight on one of our newer agents, Bailey Blanchard.
A Part-time Gig Turns into a License
Bailey originally began with Compass Realty Group as an extra set of hands around the office. Compass Realty’s founder and owner, Alison Blanchard, is Bailey’s aunt. “She asked me if I wanted to help her with some miscellaneous jobs and I didn’t have a job at the time, so I said I would help,” he said.
Once he was in the office, Bailey found he really enjoyed working with people, especially in the real estate industry. After working at Compass for two years, he decided it was time to get his real estate license and begin helping people buy and sell properties.
Driven by Purpose in Many Areas of Life
Bailey is currently attending University of Wisconsin–River Falls where he has a double major in Accounting and Economics. Add in working in real estate, and Bailey has a lot on his plate. But he makes it all work in order to give his clients the expected high level of customer service Compass is known for.
Bailey’s favorite aspect of his job with Compass is helping people find their “forever home.” He said, “It’s so enjoyable to tell a client they got the house that they’ve been dreaming about.”
However, like any job, it’s not all sunshine and rainbows. There are, of course, some challenges that Bailey encounters. “One of the tough parts of selling real estate is telling a client they didn’t get the house they wanted so badly,” he stated.
Bailey’s goal is to deliver that disappointing news as little as possible. He overcomes this challenge by working hard. He gives his clients the best service he can so they have the best chance to get their dream home.
“I enjoy working with all my clients, but there’s something special about working with a buyer and helping them get their dream home. With the recent market, it can be difficult to get my buyers the house they want or need. But once they get that perfect home, it’s very rewarding to tell them they achieved their goal and got the house they were hoping for,” Bailey explained.
Teamwork Everywhere
One of Bailey’s favorite aspects of working at Compass Realty Group is that it’s a small and close company where relationships matter. “I don’t feel like just a number in a company. Everyone on the team cares about each other’s success. We all pitch in to help achieve our individual goals and team goals,” he stated.
Teamwork is something Bailey is quite familiar with. He played basketball throughout his school years in the Clear Lake district and now plays for the Falcons at UW-River Falls.
Alison appreciates Bailey’s efforts to be a big team player at Compass. She said, “He understands the value of doing extra tasks that aren’t part of his job description for the betterment of the company. He’s an extremely hard worker who always goes the extra mile.”
Age is Just a Number
Bailey may be young, but he is wise for his years. Alison appreciates he is often her sounding board for some of her “out of the box” ideas.
“As a numbers guy, you would think Bailey focuses on just the black and white details as he takes care of so many behind-the-scenes tasks for Compass. But he is a visionary as well. He loves dreaming up ideas and then helping me put them into motion. One of his greatest qualities is he can envision things before they exist,” Alison said.
He doesn’t just envision ideas; he makes them happen through his confidence and encouragement. “Bailey will be a staple here for many years and we’re indeed the lucky ones to have him at Compass,” Alison added.

Bailey lives in Clear Lake, and in his free time he coaches and volunteers at Clear Lake High School.
