Compass Realty Group’s Spotlight on Deanna Briesmeister
Compass Realty Group works to make every client comfortable with our hospitality and unmatched customer service. Part of serving our community is showing our neighbors who they will be working with at Compass Realty.
This month we would like to shine the spotlight on one of our agents in our Clear Lake office, Deanna Briesmeister.
A Career Shift
Deanna achieved a degree while majoring in Psychology and Probation/Parole and Pardon. This led her to a career in community corrections. She retired in 2015 but found all the extra time on her hands to be a bit humdum and tedious. She needed a new challenge to keep her busy. When thinking about her next chapter, she found real estate sales intriguing and appealing. With a new dream in mind, Deanna kicked retirement out the door and earned her real estate license in 2016.
Changing Lives
Deanna knows that purchasing a new home is an important decision in her clients’ lives and she takes that big step seriously. She loves to work with first-time home buyers. She says, “There’s nothing more exciting and fulfilling than when I help first-time home buyers find their new home.”
She also knows the importance of giving prospective buyers all the information they need to make good financial and life decisions. Deanna says, “I like educating buyers about the market so they can see that many times buying a home is less expensive than renting.”
Lots of Letters
Deanna’s formal “title” at Compass Realty is Broker Associate/Salesperson CMA and PSA.But what does that mean? How do those letters help clients in their home buying journey?
In the real estate world, CMA stands for Comparative Market Analysis. It’s a tool used by real estate agents to determine an estimated fair market value for a specific property. The property is compared to similar homes recently sold in the same area. The purpose of a CMA is to help a homeowner price their home for sale and to help home buyers determine a fair price offer. What this means for clients is that Deanna has the skills and tools to make sure a home’s price is where it should be.
She also has a PSA in her title. This stands for Pricing Strategy Advisor. It means that as a real estate agent, Deanna is certified to price properties, create CMAs, work with appraisers, and educate clients on misperceptions they may have about home values.
Challenges and Rewards
Just like any job, working in real estate can have its challenges. But Deanna enjoys those challenges and working to overcome hurdles clients may encounter. “I really like having everything come together in a positive ending for everyone involved in each real estate transaction,” she says.
Being a part of the team at Compass Realty is one of her favorite parts of her job. She explains, “Even though we’re each independent sales agents, we are a team at Compass. We work together and help one another out. All the agents have different background experiences which add to our company as we learn from one another.”
A Team Member with a Servant’s Heart
Before joining the team at Compass Realty, Deanna owned her own realty company. She crossed paths with Compass Realty’s founder and owner, Alison Blanchard, several times and decided to join the Compass team. And Alison is so glad she did!
About her work ethic, Alison says, “Deanna is always about the client and what they need. Her attention to detail is outstanding. She believes in our company, our culture, and what we are creating here at Compass. I’m really blessed to have her on our team.”
Not only is Deanna an active agent, but she is also a Transaction Coordinator at Compass. When it comes to contracts managing dates, deadlines, and all of the details can take up a lot of an agent’s time. Deanna oversees contracts for other Compass agents, streamlining the process for everyone involved.
Alison says, “Our company wouldn’t run as well as it does without Deanna. She is basically our operations center. I’m grateful for her expertise, commitment to excellence, and drive every day. She is an honest sounding board when I have ideas and I respect her so much!”
It’s in the Cards
When Deanna isn’t serving clients, spending time at her cabin, or enjoying the outdoors with her husband, you might find her playing cards with friends and family. Growing up in a family that played a lot of cards, she enjoys playing all kinds of games.
If you want to find out if buying a home is in your cards, Deanna would love to work with you. Please give her a call at 715-222-4379 and find out how she can help you purchase a home, whether it’s your first or not.
